December has finally arrived, and you know what that means, don’t you? Yes, the Christmas party season has finally commenced, and with the festivities now in full swing, our Hog Roast Foulness gang has been rushed off their feet with bookings this past while!
Lately, we’ve had the privilege of helping out with lots of work parties in our local area, which we always find to be an enjoyable experience. Most notably, we were called in to assist Brian with his annual office party, which, like many employers, he hosts as a way of thanking his team and showing appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
For Brian and his staff, this end-of-year celebration is a great way to unwind before the Christmas break and strengthen their bond with one another. Everyone looks forward to this event with anticipation and excitement, including Hog Roast Foulness’s team, who have been in charge of catering for Brian’s work events for close to a decade now!
Ever since Hog Roast Foulness’s catering crew impressed Brian and his workers at the first party we were asked to handle eight years ago, they’ve insisted on having us back every Christmas, which is a massive compliment and a huge honour for us.
This year, our catering manager, Adam and the team blew it out of the water, once again, by serving our Full Festive Menu to Brian and his Xmas jumper-wearing staff on Friday afternoon. The meal, consisting of irresistibly tender shredded pork, crispy crackling, savoury sage and onion stuffing, applesauce and seasonal sides, was a huge hit among the celebrants!
Our juicy pigs in blankets, homemade cauliflower cheese and homemade gravy were especially popular and had the guests gathering round for second helpings almost immediately! Rounding off this exquisite meal, Hog Roast Foulness served our handmade mince pies with warm brandy cream and a glass (or three!) of non-alcoholic mulled wine.
The afternoon couldn’t have gone better, and everyone was very happy with the food options on offer, which they described as being fresh-tasting and delicious!
What can we say except: bring on next year!
