The summer may be ending but that doesn’t mean the wedding season is showing any signs of slowing down here at Hog Roast Rochford. If anything, we’re busier than ever coming out to all kinds of wonderful special days all around South Essex. Even amongst the hustle and bustle of the numerous wedding events we attend, each still comes as special as the last, and the Hog Roast Rochford team are able to enjoy each as though it were the first of the season
again!
This weekend it was a wedding party at the incredible Rochford Hotel for a wonderful bride and groom. Friends and family turned out in style to join this excellent celebration of matrimony, and so it was up to the Hog Roast Rochford team to match them for style and glam with our catering!
Luckily, we’re always up to such a task. Our special southern slow roast menu is always a winner, combining the simplicity of a barbecue with the added extravagance and style of a wedding celebration, along with intensive flavours, tender and crisp textures, and plenty of smokiness and spice! For this menu our guests had chosen our BBQ pork butt, Texas style beef brisket, and Cajun spiced rotisserie cooked whole roasted chickens. But as this was a proper
South Essex wedding, the style did not end there as catering manager Dohnis then also prepared an added whole roasted salmon, BBQ pulled jackfruit, and cooling and refreshing accompaniments of Greek salad, buttered corn cobettes, and creamy mac and cheese for that all-American taste.
We had just as much fun cooking and serving as the wedding party had celebrating. In fact, while we were working away and cooking, we thought we might take a quick staff photo just to mark the occasion. But would you
believe, the entire wedding party then happened to also be photo bombing us at the same time! We won’t take too much offense to the bombing, however, as they did all look excellent in the background of our staff photo – perhaps somehow even better than the Hog Roast Walcott team, if you can believe such a thing!
