When it comes to your wedding you hope and pray that everything goes as perfect as it can. One of the biggest factors that you will just never have control over, which has such a mass bearing over your special day and the atmosphere, is of course the weather. Being the UK, you can plan and plan for the most perfect summer’s day for your wedding, but you’ll still never know if those clear skies will turn to rainy clouds in an instant, or if the wind will turn that perfect warm day into a breezier affair.
But lo, with our very special wedding here in Brentwood last week, everything did in fact come out perfect, just as asked for! In the lead up to the wedding the Hog Roast Brentwood catering had done our best to plan for worse case scenarios in which our dining might have to change somewhat. The menu was to be an al fresco experience from the get-go, which is a menu typically reserved for outdoor dining. Were spring showers to have come around on the big day, the whole plan would have had to be altered. Not that altering is ever a problem with Hog Roast Brentwood – we’ve learned very well to be flexible to the whims of the British weather – but it is not what the bride and groom would have wanted for their special day.
Thankfully, though, the sun made its presence, giving us a perfect bright and warm day to enjoy a wonderful celebration of love and matrimony. The bride and groom looked resplendent soaking up the sun as friends and family came to offer their warm congratulations. Meanwhile, our very own antipasti platters and vibrant grazing table looked near enough as resplendent, too. The sun really helps this one to sparkle all the better, with guests coming up first to just get a photo of the brilliant spread before then tucking into fine Italian meats, cheeses, artisanal breads, oils, olives, salad leaves, fresh tomatoes, stuffed peppers and more. If that wasn’t enough, our signature hog roast then provided the main event, before a delicious cheesecake dessert topped off a wonderful wedding event for the Hog Roast Brentwood team!
