Another weekend in the summer wedding season; another wedding well catered by Hog Roast Buntingford. If you have been keeping score at home, all summer long our weekends have predominantly been booked up by weddings all across South Essex. Save for Christmas with staff nights out and office parties, the summer wedding season is by far our busiest time as a caterer. The same likely goes for any caterer. The summer is when most wedding venues are going to be fully booked out up to years in advance; everyone wants their special day when the sun is at its brightest and there is the least chance of rain or grey weather.
This year’s summer wedding season has not disappointed. Week by week you’ll have no doubt seen on our socials and in these blogs that the Hog Roast Buntingford team has had a wedding to cater on most weekends – sometimes even doubling and tripling up within the same weekend. This past weekend, for example, took our team to both a wedding at The Barn at Alswick and to a wedding anniversary.
Both were exceptional event, but as it is the wedding season specifically then it is the wedding event itself that we would look to tell you just a little more about. This was event months in the making, with our head Dohnis working in all that time to devise a menu that would satisfy all of the requirements of a special day. Fortunately, when you have our signature hog roast dining experience as a base template, you are already onto a very good start. There wasn’t all too much tinkering needed with our customers to make this a perfect menu for their special day. Just some decisions on which salad accompaniments and potato sides to go with and the perfect wedding feast was ready and waiting for the big day! All that work came to fruition when the bride, groom, and 80 of their closest friends and family enjoyed our hog roast, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, apple sauce, tomato and mozzarella salad, coleslaw, mixed leaves, herb dressed new potatoes, and grilled veg and halloumi skewers.
