For every big moment in life, there is Hog Roast Coggeshall’s event catering. It could be your wedding, a job promotion, a retirement, a birthday, or, as was the case with this last most wonderful event, the announcement of a pregnancy.
Yes, our favourite event to have catered for this week was to join in the baby announcement for two very happy customers. Grace and Tom were delighted to be starting their own family, and so they had the rest of theirs come visit their house on Sunday afternoon to make the big announcement. Because it was such a big life event they also wanted to make sure they marked it properly, which is why they also invited our Hog Roast Coggeshall chefs to provide a special Sunday lunch for everyone coming over.
We were very excited for this event so wanted to make a menu that would match to the occasion. We figured that it would be good to have some light bite canapes and drinks so that everyone could make a toast during the announcement, before then turning to our specially prepared lamb roast lunch. As we expected, the announcement was made with plenty of joy and emotion, allowing our dining to then top off the afternoon as family and friends celebrated together. We had our lamb roast served with our own mint sauce and small Yorkshire puddings with added accompaniments of fries, herb dressed new potatoes, roasted veg and halloumi skewers, seasonal leaves, roasted vegetables, and a BBQ pulled jackfruit alternative to the lamb, as Grace is vegetarian.
Jobs like this are what remind all of us at Hog Roast Coggeshall what a privilege it is to provide the services that we do. We’re getting to share in a very personal and important life moment for someone else’s family, and even getting to add to the day too with our dining. You don’t get that in many industries or jobs, but here at Hog Roast Coggeshall we never take it for granted when it does happen. We would like to offer our congratulations to the happy parents-to-be, and our thanks again for letting us share this moment with you and your family!
