After a long and brilliant summer of catering, what a way to officially close it out than with a bank holiday weekend chalk full of incredible events. From weddings to summer office parties and garden parties at home, it has been an exceptional summer for the Hog Roast Benfleet team. You have all proven to us once again that our services come in very high demand, especially in a summer where temperatures hit records and the need to cool off and relax with comforting foods was even more called for.
To have one last three day weekend to enjoy the summer with many of you was a blessing. Across the weekend we were fortunate enough to have a few more weddings for the road, and a very special birthday celebration for a family’s 16 year old daughter. This is the event we’d like to tell you about here – you’ve heard us witter on about weddings just enough over the last three months we reckon!
We were fortunately also blessed with a sunny Sunday afternoon and a Monday off for many to enjoy a great day of celebrating and dining. The family had ordered for our hog roast menu to feed around 80 guests. This included family and friends of the daughter, who was exceptionally excited to be marking her 16th in style. That excitement was well justified as the Hog Roast Benfleet team put the final preparations on our signature hog roast, cooked in the authentic spit style, before expertly carving it for serving with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, an addition of marinated chicken thighs, our butcher’s quality gourmet sausages fresh off the grill attachment to our hog roast machine, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, along with bread rolls, wraps, mixed leaves, tomato and mozzarella salad, creamy red cabbage coleslaw, and a mix of regular and sweet potato fries with salt and vinegar.
With all the celebrating going on for this massive 16th, all of that dining was certainly needed just to help fuel things along! All our best to our hosts and a big thanks for choosing Hog Roast Benfleet for such an excellent occasion!
