As a local corporate caterer with a reputation for filling menus, we often field a lot of calls from construction companies. It’s hungry work as you can imagine, so our fresh pulled pork rolls and barbecue menus at Hog Roast Billericay are unsurprisingly very popular amongst the workies.
This week the Hog Roast Billericay team had the pleasure of joining the hard working staff at Balfour Beatty on one of their sites for a very special hog roast lunch. Our head chef Dohnis figured our busy guests would be wanting their hog roast rolls on the dot at lunch, so he had got to work early in the morning prepping our signature pork roast. Our hog roast can take some time to cook, so prepping early and getting it loaded and cooking on our mobile roasting machine meant that we could have everything hot and ready to go at precisely that agreed 12.30 serving time.
The time in between beginning our roast and serving also provided plenty of time to also prepare and cook our marinated chicken thighs as an addition to our roast, along with the typical accompaniments of sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and apple sauce that comes with every one of our pulled pork rolls. A veggie/vegan alternative was also provided with our special BBQ pulled vegan jackfruit subbing in just perfectly for our meaty pork. It’s the same in all but actual substance – the look, the taste, the lovely barbecue aromas are all still there and just as good as the real deal. Knowing our guests would be hungry out on the sites, we also had plenty of fresh salad and slaw to further fill and fuel them for the rest of the working day ahead!
It was an excellent lunch time spent with the Balfour Beatty team. All 65 guests just about cleaned us out, even when we had prepared for seconds and thirds. That’s how you know it was a good lunch, and one which we are all but certain will be seen again in the not distant future with this client again! Until then, our thanks from everyone at Hog Roast Billericay for choosing our corporate catering!
