When your birthday is the 31st of October, you have the perfect excuse to throw a fancy-dress party in honour of the occasion – and that’s exactly what twins Lily and Connie did for their 18th!
The pair have always looked forward to celebrating their birthday, especially because it falls on Halloween, which just so happens to be their favourite holiday of the year. But with this year being their 18th, they were eager to go bigger and bolder with the festivities than they ever had before.
Thanks to a little bit of help from the bank of mum and dad, affording the party of their dreams wasn’t an issue. The girls had been given completely free rein, which allowed them to secure a luxurious ballroom at a nearby hotel for the evening, along with lots of decorations to match their spooky glow-in-the-dark theme.
Lily and Connie had decided to put Hog Roast Brentwood in charge of the catering for their event, which saw us serve our Southern Slow Roast Menu to the group of 100 fancy dressers last weekend! This mouth-watering meal plan included a choice of three perfectly-cooked meat choices, consisting of Texan 24-hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens and fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, which the guests were instantly won over by!
Hog Roast Brentwood also made sure to include our vegan-friendly BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls, which we served with plant-based coleslaw and a selection of inclusive sides that everyone was able to enjoy.
Beyond Hog Roast Brentwood’s frighteningly good food, the party boasted lots of entertainment options for the guests to make the most of. These included glow-in-the-dark face painting, a photo booth filled with Halloween props and a DJ who blasted classic tunes for the group to dance to.
All in all, it was a fantastic night, and the girls certainly enjoyed themselves! We’re delighted to say that Lily and Connie have since been in contact with Hog Roast Brentwood to thank our team, and specifically our catering manager, Adam, for helping them to have the best birthday ever – according to them, everything was even better than what they had imagined it would be!
