It can be scary when you when your celebrations don’t go exactly as you planned. But we don’t want you to panic, because here at Hog Roast Danbury, we stay calm and collected and keep serving regardless of the pressure.
Recently, our team got the pleasure of serving for Michele at The Durrants Garden Party. The venue was in incredible with bright orange bricks that built up castle like structures, the sight of it had the whole team excited. But as the day went on, and the clouds grew greyer, heavy rain seemed to be closing in, and fast.
Luckily, Hog Roast Danbury are always prepared for the occasion. We came equipped with a waterproof canopy that protects the food and the people to ensure maximum quality and seamless serving throughout the day. And we can say confidently, the rain did not interfere with our smooth services. In fact, the rain added a cozy charm to the already inviting atmosphere. And it didn’t stop the chatter and laughter from us and the guests.
From 5 o’clock onwards, we were serving up a whole hog carved and dished as tender, flavourful pulled pork, put into soft gluten free bread rolls. For the guests that preferred their cuisine green, a vegetarian option of colourful and smoky, grilled vegetable and haloumi skewers was readily available. And of course, no meal is complete without a side of golden, crunchy traditional fries.
To tie each component together, the meals were served on eco-friendly wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery which not only is a thoughtful sustainable touch but also complemented the rustic garden setting perfectly.
When the thunderstorms came, we were ready. The show must go on through lightning or heatwaves, and Michele was delighted with the outcome.
Despite the unfortunate weather, the event was an overwhelming success. We were proud to deliver a warm, gratifying experience, even in the cold. At Hog Roast Danbury, we believe it is essential to maintain that high quality, that’s way through rain, shine, or thunder, we will always rise to the occasion.
