Who says the party has to stop when you have kids? In recent years, the rise of family-friendly raves has taken the world by storm, offering a unique opportunity for both kids and grown-ups to rave together in a safe and exhilarating environment.
Last weekend, for the first time ever, Hog Roast Fobbing got to experience one of these events for ourselves, and make no mistake, it was an absolute blast!
Organised by Ella, this family rave had it all: from dazzling lighting and confetti cannons to balloons, talented DJs, and a fully stocked bar (for the grown-ups, of course!). But that’s not all—Ella went above and beyond to ensure that every guest, big and small, had the time of their lives.
The event was a whirlwind of excitement, with additional entertainment options galore. Bubble and fake snow machines added a magical touch, while face painting artists, a bouncy castle, fairground rides, and actors in mascot outfits kept everyone entertained for hours on end. And for those in need of a breather, Ella had thoughtfully set up a quieter area for children to enjoy soft play and arts and crafts.
Knowing that delicious food was needed to maintain the guest’s energy levels at this event, Ella turned to Hog Roast Fobbing and we were delighted to serve up our Hog Roast Dining Experience Menu, featuring a tasty selection of canapes to start. From gourmet sausages and beer-battered mini fish and chips to mini pizzas, quiche, and Indian snacks, these nibbles suited every palate.
For the main course, guests had their pick of sumptuous options, including whole-roasted free-range chicken, handmade beef burgers and homemade sausages, plus BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls for the non-meat-eaters. Served with a variety of side salads, coleslaw, and mixed sweet potato and regular fries, the meal was a hit with guests of all ages.
As the rave reached its crescendo, Hog Roast Fobbing rolled out the desserts: chocolate-covered profiteroles and fresh fruit salad, the perfect sweet treats to end an epic evening of dancing and fun. And judging by the smiles on everyone’s faces, it was clear that this family rave was a resounding success.
We had an absolute ball catering for this event and working alongside Ella, who was delighted with our services. In fact, she’s already invited us back to handle her next family rave this summer, and we couldn’t be more excited!
