Nothing says celebration quite like a whole roasted lamb, slow-cooked until tender, infused with rosemary and garlic, and carved fresh in front of your guests. That was exactly the experience Dawn and her 70 guests enjoyed on the 16th of August in Romford, when the team at Hog Roast Romford provided a feast to remember.
Instead of our classic hog roast, Dawn opted for a full lamb roast, paired with traditional mint sauce, bread rolls, and wraps (with gluten-free options available). The incredible aromas as the lamb roasted built anticipation throughout the afternoon, and once served buffet style, guests were quick to fill their plates with generous helpings of succulent meat and delicious sides. It was the highlight of the evening, bringing people together over great food in a relaxed, sociable setting.
To balance the rich main, we prepared a spread of freshly made sides. Guests tucked into a crisp tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed leaves, creamy homemade coleslaw, and our chef’s own pasta salad – each dish adding colour, freshness, and variety. Herb-dressed new potatoes completed the meal beautifully, pairing perfectly with the lamb.
Of course, at Hog Roast Romford, inclusivity is key. For vegetarian and vegan guests, we served grilled vegetable skewers (with or without halloumi), alongside wraps, a refreshing tzatziki dip, and a sweet chilli sauce. These proved just as popular as the main roast and ensured every guest was catered for.
Food was presented buffet style on rustic wooden crockery with matching cutlery – a simple but stylish touch that suited the relaxed atmosphere of a family celebration at home.
The event was a fantastic success, with the lamb itself becoming the talking point of the evening. Guests were impressed by both the flavours and the theatre of seeing the meat freshly carved before them.
If you’re planning a special gathering, why not make a whole lamb roast from Hog Roast Romford the centrepiece of your event? It’s guaranteed to wow your guests and create memories that last long after the plates are cleared.
