It might be nearly July, but summer hasn’t quite lived up to the heatwave we all hoped for back in May. Thankfully, Hog Roast South Ockendon is here to turn up the temp’ in the best ways, with mouth-watering food that brings the heat to every event, no matter the weather!
Recently, our Hog Roast South Ockendon team were given the opportunity to cater at the James Latham Purfleet Wood Yard Open Day, with over 180 guests to feed, the menu had to be big! Full of options and flavour so that everyone no matter their preference or requirements, could get a taste of something delicious.
Starting with the meaty mains from our Gourmet BBQ Menu, there were thick ground beef burgers and pork sausages, authentically Thai flavoured Chicken Kebabs and seasoned ribs. Served with an options creamy cheese and grilled onions. As for the vegetarian alternative mains, there were colourful grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers available alongside smoky vegetarian burgers. As for the bread rolls, there were soft white, seeded brown and gluten free rolls – a something for everyone selection!
And of course, it would be a crime to not include some five-star sides! For the salad options, a creamy, cool pasta salad or a tangy coleslaw. As for the fries, a mixture of sweet and traditional.
The food was a hit across all guests. Whether their plates were a simple mountain of ribs or a self-crafted tasting menu with a little bit of everything – there were no complaints across the board. A job well done for Hog Roast Ockendon.
