Here at Hog Roast Stanford-le-Hope, our love for food is more than just a passion—it’s a way of life! So, when we heard about a gastro food festival popping up nearby, we were ready to dive in headfirst and serve up some culinary magic. With a focus on blending traditional British flavours with modern flair, this festival was practically calling our name!
For thirty years, we’ve been perfecting the art of the hog roast, turning this ancient dish into a mouth-watering masterpiece to be enjoyed by all. So, our goal at this event was to dazzle taste buds and convert anyone who hadn’t yet experienced the magic of a hog roast into a forever fan. With our rockstar catering manager, Dohnis, leading the charge, we rocked up to the festival site on Saturday, ready to serve up something extraordinary!
The festival was a food lover’s paradise with stalls galore—juicy burgers, crispy fish and chips, homemade pies, and more. But let’s be honest, when you’ve got a whole pig roasting on a spit, you’re bound to stand out! As our hog spun slowly over the fire, the crackling skin turned golden and crispy, drawing hungry festival-goers like bees to honey.
As well as slow-roasting the perfect hog, Dohnis whipped up our famous sage and onion stuffing and homemade applesauce, crafting a flavour profile that was nothing short of spectacular. The smell alone was enough to draw a crowd, and by the time Dohnis started carving, Hog Roast Stanford-le-Hope’s stall was packed with eager festival-goers.
With expert precision, Dohnis sliced through the crackling and pulled out tender, juicy pork that was served on gluten-free and wholemeal rolls, all neatly arranged on disposable plates for easy munching. The crowd went wild for the rich, savoury flavours and the freshness of our food. We couldn’t have been happier with the rave reviews!
As the festival buzzed around us, we continued to dazzle with our hog roast sandwiches. The event was a whirlwind of fun with live cooking demos, exciting food competitions, and interactive workshops that kept everyone entertained. Craft beer and cocktails flowed, live music set the mood, and kids enjoyed the fair rides and entertainment.
All in all, the festival was a roaring success, and Hog Roast Stanford-le-Hope was thrilled to be a part of it. We love bringing our passion for food to new faces and making every event unforgettable!
