As a caterer you learn to love the seasonal holidays throughout the year. Days like Easter, Valentines, Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas offer up novel reasons to host special occasions, all in the name of having a bit of fun in good company.
For our money at Hog Roast Woodford Green, it is a split between Halloween and Christmas for the best of these seasonal events. Christmas of course encompasses so much of our work toward the end of the year (and even sometimes bleeding into the new year, we’re just that busy and popular!), and the vibes are immaculate around Christmas time. But for a one-off holiday Halloween has to surely be the winner!
It’s a seasonal event where folks get to have a bit of creative fun. We all get to be someone else for a night; dress up as our favourite comic characters, horror icons, or hilarious cultural trends. We don’t mind a good bit of trick and treating here at Hog Roast Woodford Green – and by that we mean the tricks our chefs pull off with our hog roaster, and the treat that is getting to see it and eat it once it is lovely and golden and crisp!
So, then, when Paul in Woodford Green invited us out to cater for his annual wedding party, we simply could not turn down the offer! Any excuse for the Hog Roast Woodford Green to start playing dress up while still having fun serving customers! Any of our efforts would most assuredly been dwarfed by those that came to Paul’s party, however. Dohnis and the Hog Roast Woodford Green team were simply blown away by many of the costumes we saw. It was a real joy to be able to serve up our hog roast to Beetlejuice, a Minion, and a terrifying grim reaper who managed to tower over our hog roast selection! Plenty of good fun had all round on a night that we most certainly will not be forgetting any time soon!
