2026 is off to a rocketing start for the Hog Roast Westcliff-on-Sea catering team as we kicked off January with a truly massive event at Westminster Chapel where our catering manager Dohnis proved his credentials in style while seamlessly and effectively catering for well over 500 hundred guests.
An event for one of our many corporate partners operating in South Essex, this corporate event brought together friends and family of the company, racking the guest list up to a whopping 525. As a caterer, that means 525 mouths to feed, meaning at a minimum 525 dishes to cook up. It is our goal with any event, be it big or small, to never have a loss of quality in sacrifice for quantity. So, even with over 500 dishes to cook, Dohnis and the Hog Roast Westcliffe-on-Sea team knew that each and every dish – each and every guest experience – had to be just as good as the one before.
So, Dohnis proved himself a worthy leader of the Hog Roast Westcliffe-on-Sea kitchen once again by picking a straightforward option of hot dogs and sauces for the kids in attendance (of which there were 35) and then serving up a relatively simple yet brilliant catering option of rolls and wraps with either pulled pork or BBQ pulled jackfruit (for the veggie option) as a filling. From one hog roast we can dish out meat for about a hundred people, so a couple extra big ones and we had enough for everyone to get the very best pork in all of British catering – all served within 90 minutes and fully fresh, too.
The star of the show was our new signature double pocket wrap – a combination of juicy pulled pork on one side balanced out by our homemade sage and onion stuffing loaded into the other side. A juicy, crisp, and delicious dining option that can see even 500 guests well served in record time!
A hearty thanks to our corporate partner for choosing Hog Roast Westcliffe-on-Sea, and a big hand to Dohnis for leading such an efficient and delicious service!
