Hog Roast Langdon Hills serves Alfresco bliss

Hog Roast Langdon Hills loves doing their Alfresco menu, it is just so refreshing, tasty and it gets everyone talking. Alfresco originally means ‘outside dining’ so this menu works really well with anyone having a celebration in a marquee or getting hitched at an outdoor wedding venue, especially the cool tepee ones!

Hog Roast Langdon HillsHog Roast Langdon Hills’s Alfresco menu entails a three-course feast. Rather than having the usual canapés or typical, mundane starters, the guests receive an antipasti platter. The antipasti platters are a foodie’s heaven, they are filled with tantalising meats and fine cheeses. Last weekend, guests enjoyed meats and cheeses such as salami, Parma ham and parmagiano which are accompanied by bakery artisan breads. Other bitesize treats that complement the meats and cheeses include sun-dried tomatoes, mixed olives, stuffed peppers and rocket. Such a delightful appetiser. Ready and awaiting the guests on the table were a bottle of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar to tie it altogether nicely.

Hog Roast Langdon HillsFor the wedding breakfast and main event, the guests indulged in Hog Roast Langdon Hills’s scrumptious Hog Roast, a whole roasted pig with all the tasty trimmings. The pig had been roasted on low heat over a long period of time guaranteeing succulent meat and crisp crackling. The juicy meat was placed in a roll of the guest’s choice; cheese-tipped, soft white, crusty, wholemeal or they could even select a wrap which worked wonders for the men who figured out that the wrap held more! To make the main even more great and delicious, it was served with freshly prepared salads; creamy coleslaw, seasonal leaves mixed salad and cherry tomato, buffalo mozzarella and basil leaf salad. To top it off, a potato option was also served. The groom and bride had chosen the new potatoes in a blanket of herbed butter.

Finally, everyone dove into the desserts! A choice of two, each as equally indulgent as the other. First choice was the light and fluffy vanilla cheesecake with a chocolate swirl and the other a rich chocolate torte, the perfect treat for anyone who loves chocolate.
