Hog Roast Hawkwell left our most recent client, Siobhan, feeling extremely impressed after they served a spectacular birthday lunch to her friends and family last weekend.
The client was turning 40, and to mark the special occasion, she had planned a cosy celebration, which was attended by 30 people of all ages. The event itself took place at her home, and since the skies had remained clear, the bash was celebrated in the back garden under the protection of one of our marquees (just in case!).
Siobhan’s party had been in the works for a while, so everyone was buzzing with excitement by the time it finally went ahead on Saturday afternoon, especially since they were expecting something amazing from Hog Roast Hawkwell – and we certainly didn’t disappoint!
Working hard to live up to expectations, Hog Roast Hawkwell’s team, fronted by catering manager, Adam, dedicated the entire morning to preparing Siobhan’s special birthday lunch, which comprised of rustic-style antipasti boards covered with Italian deli meats and fine cheeses, artisan bread, herb focaccia, breadsticks and ciabatta, along with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressings, sun dried tomatoes and olives.
For the main course, our team prepared our signature spit-roasted pig, served with crispy pork rinds, flavoursome sage and onion stuffing and homemade applesauce. The small handful of veggie and vegan guests, however, were offered our grilled veggie kebabs options with tzatziki dip and flatbreads. Meanwhile, handmade beef burgers and hot dogs were made available for the children to dig into.
The guests loved having the freedom to choose their own main course, and the feast was made all the more enjoyable by our scrumptious side options, which consisted of heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, homemade gourmet coleslaw and a mixture of sweet potato and regular fries. After that, Hog Roast Hawkwell served tarte au citron and chocolate torte for dessert, both of which were dressed in fresh cream and ripe berries.
Siobhan was so pleased with everything Hog Roast Hawkwell provided on the day, and the icing on the cake for her was when our team discreetly tidied away the leftovers and the rubbish, which they took with them and disposed of offsite.
