Hog Roast Bicknacre Makes A 1st Birthday One To Remember

As we all know, it’s incredibly unlikely that babies will remember anything about their first birthday, but that’s not to say you shouldn’t be celebrating! Turning a year old is a key milestone in your baby’s journey towards childhood, and celebrating is just as important at this age as it is at any other – if not more so.

For infants, these parties are a great introduction to events as a whole and are fantastic aids in social development. As for mums and dads, first birthdays are an important landmark in their parenting journey. And so, with all of that in mind, it makes sense that parents wouldn’t want to miss out on the chance to celebrate in a big way.

Over the years, Hog Roast Bicknacre has been involved in our fair share of these events, and just last weekend, our team had the honour of helping Dawn and Michael celebrate their daughter, Maisie’s 1st birthday! The couple had been looking forward to the party for months and had invited 50 guests to join them in commemorating the occasion at the same events hall where they had previously hosted their baby shower.

Hog Roast Bicknacre’s catering manager, Adam, was in charge of handling the food for this event, and at the request of Dawn and Michael, he presented the group with our stunning Alfresco Menu last Saturday.

Hog Roast BicknacreThis mouth-watering feast began with a choice of either slow-roasted free-range pork served on gluten-free buns with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling and applesauce, or vegan-friendly hickory-steeped pulled jackfruit rolls dressed in plant-based coleslaw. For sides, Hog Roast Bicknacre had rustled up a selection of garden-fresh salad options, gourmet ‘slaw and buttered new potatoes. Each of the dining tables also featured a charcuterie board covered in Italian meats, cheeses, olives, sundried tomatoes and artisan breads for the guests to help themselves.

Individual servings of cheesecake, rich and tasty profiteroles and a slice of baby Maisie’s birthday cake rounded off this incredible meal, and as the group happily dined on the irresistible grub, a live band performed classic songs on stage, which put everyone in the mood to dance.
